Shawn Bosley of York, Pennsylvania, has sadly passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that touched countless lives.
A resident of Red Lion, Pennsylvania, Shawn worked at York Excavating Co LLC, where he was known for his dedication and hard work. Beyond his job, Shawn was the kind of man who would drop everything to help someone in need — a true “big brother” to many, both in family and in spirit.
He shared a beautiful life with his wife, Amanda Bosley, whom he married on August 13, 2013. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. Their two children were the center of Shawn’s world, and he took great pride in being a devoted father.
Those who knew Shawn remember his big heart, his larger-than-life presence, and the way he made people feel seen and supported. His friend Donald Fry shared an emotional tribute, writing:
“You made me ‘grow up’ fast, I could never imagine how you changed my life! You tested my patience at times but I was always proud of you! You were and will always be my son! Didn’t get a lot of pictures through the years but damn were you and always will be loved! Huge heart, for a big man! Best ‘big brother’ — always there for anyone who needed help! Can hear you calling me ‘goober’ still today! You are forever in my heart Shawn Bosley! Until we see you again, I love you!”
Heather Mosley also expressed her grief, saying:
“It don’t matter the years since you last seen or spoke to an old friend, hearing they have passed is just as heartbreaking. My heart and many prayers go out to the Bosley family back in PA. 💔😪 RIP Shawn Bosley — you were a hell of a good man, friend, husband, and father.”
Shawn Bosley will be deeply missed by his family, friends, co-workers, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, strength, and sense of humor will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
