A tragic car accident early Monday morning has claimed the life of 23-year-old Mallory Frazier, leaving her family, friends, and communities in deep mourning. The fatal crash occurred in Jackson, Mississippi, on April 14, 2025.

Mallory Jayne Frazier was a shining light with a future full of promise. Born on January 5, 2002, she was the beloved daughter of Pastor Jay and Suzanne Frazier, and a source of joy to everyone who knew her.

At the time of her death, Mallory was pursuing a Doctor of Occupational Therapy at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She had previously studied at Mississippi College, where she graduated in May 2024 with a Pre-OT degree. She was also a proud 2024 graduate of SUNY Cortland, earning a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, and was currently working toward a Master’s in Sports Management.

Mallory had recently been welcomed as the 2025 General Manager’s Assistant for the Outlaws baseball team. Known for her dedication and love for the sports industry, she was expected to play a key role in the team’s off-field operations this summer. “We can’t wait to see all she does,” the Outlaws shared just weeks ago. “Welcome Mallory!”

She was also in a loving relationship with Carson Turner, who, like many others, is devastated by the sudden loss.

The Mississippi College Kinesiology Department expressed its sorrow in a public statement:

“The MC Kinesiology family is heartbroken by the passing of Mallory Frazier. Mallory was a May 2024 Pre-OT graduate and currently a student in the UMMC OT program. Please join us in lifting up Mallory’s family and friends in prayer during this most difficult time.”

Wellspring Church, where her father serves as pastor, also shared a heartfelt message of grief and support:

“There are no words that can capture the weight of this loss. Mallory was a bright light, full of life and joy, and her passing leaves an unimaginable void in the lives of those who knew and loved her… Our hearts break for Pastor Jay and Suzanne and their family and friends… ‘The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.’ —Psalm 34:18”

Mallory’s life was one marked by kindness, ambition, and service. Whether in the classroom, on the field, or among her community, she gave her best and lifted those around her. Her passing has shaken many, but her memory will forever live on through the lives she touched.
